About Me

I am a  British painter now living in the culture city of Unkel, on the river Rhine in Germany, and am surrounded by a natural environment of beauty and an artistic local population in which to paint.

I studied at the Norwich School of Art before being invited to attend the Goldsmiths School of Art in London where I obtained a B.A (Hons) in Fine Art.

I later obtained a Masters Degree at the Anglia Ruskin University in cambridge.

An individuals creative Art is influenced by many things. The experiences encountered as a military child travelling all over the UK, Europe and the African continent certainly had an aesthetic impact on me.  My overwelming eye opening artistic inspirations and experiences came when moving and living in London for many years where I had the fortunate opportunity to be mentored by Artists who were the leaders in their field…These later also became personal freinds who continued to provide inspiration, reaction and narrative over my Art long after completeing my time there…

These included Albert Irvin RA, Basil Beattie RA, John Bellany RA, Michael Craig-Martin RA, Harry Thubron…all of whom are still an inspiration to me and my own creativity. Thank you all.
